Tornadoes Lose to Codebreakers, 4-1

The Columbus Codebreakers went home winners at Debris Field, thanks in large part to starter José Gallegos. Gallegos silenced the Kansas City Tornadoes, enabling Columbus to grab the 4-1 win. Gallegos picked up the win for Columbus, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 11-12. The Codebreakers bumped their record to 72-66 with this latest triumph.
With no one out in the top of the first, Esteban Ruíz lit into a forkball from Enrique López for a 2-run home run. That made the score 2-0 in favor of the Codebreakers. For the day, Ruíz was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"It feels good to get that win," said Ruíz. "Now it's on to the next one."
