Burry 4-5 in Berserkers Win
|
The Minnesota Berserkers easily defeated the Georgia Grays, 12-4, at The Frozen Tundra, with third baseman Jim Burry a main contributor to the win. He went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for Minnesota. The 6th-place Berserkers lifted their record to 60-79.
Going deep for Minnesota was André Georges. The first baseman had a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first for the Berserkers. It put his team ahead, 2-0, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Georges was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Burry told a Minnesota Daily News reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
