The Mile High Mustangs put together a convincing win at The Frozen Tundra, defeating the Minnesota Berserkers, 13-2. Marshall Dempsey was one of the hitting stars. He went 4 for 5 with 4 singles and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for Mile High. Mile High starter Sylvester Richardson was credited with the win after throwing 111 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 1-0.

Daniel Vázquez was a key contributor to the win for the Mustangs. In the top of the first with two out, the light-hitting third baseman stroked a single to left. He went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs.

Minnesota manager Jerry Miller was on the defensive afterward. "You can go back and make us look as bad as you want to," he told a reporter, "and then I can throw more numbers at you and make us look better."

The last-place Mustangs raised their record to 55-83.
