Las Vegas Gamblers starter Ze-dong Zhang turned in a sterling performance against the Jersey Jesters, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Bernalldo Rocchi converted his 30th save in 37 tries. Las Vegas is third in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division with a record of 75-62.
Zhang tossed 117 pitches over 8 innings to clinch the win for the Gamblers. The left-hander allowed just 5 hits, while racking up 11 strikeouts in the game.
"It's a mindset," said Zhang. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
