Great Day for Weber in Tornadoes Win
The Kansas City Tornadoes defeated the Quebec Armada, 10-5, in Thurman Munson League action at Lucky 7 Ballpark. Andrew Weber received player of the game honors. The 8-year veteran went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Kansas City reliever Mehmood Dar was the winner. His record is now 11-11. The losing pitcher was Oniji Nakashima. Kansas City's record now stands at 69-68, placing them third in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division.

Kansas City right fielder Todd McCarthy changed the complexion of the game in the top of the sixth. That's when he belted a 2-run home run off Oniji Nakashima. His 27th home run of the season put Kansas City in front, 6-5.

"We'll try to build on that win," Weber told the Kansas City Observer.
