Earthquakes Lose to Blazers, 3-1
|
The Bloomington Blazers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Lou Latulippe, who muffled the San Francisco offense en route to a tight 3-1 Blazers win at Golden Gate Park. Austin Price converted his 18th save in 22 tries. The Blazers improve their record to 50-86 with the win over San Francisco.
Jesús Dela chipped in for Bloomington, stroking a crucial 2-run home run in the top of the first inning. For the game, the catcher was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Latulippe told the Bloomington Chronicle.
