Earthquakes Pin 7-2 Loss on Blazers
|
The San Francisco Earthquakes defeated the Bloomington Blazers, 7-2, in Thurman Munson League action at Golden Gate Park. Anthony Walker received player of the game honors. The 10-year veteran was 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The Earthquakes raised their record to 81-55.
Walker contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped San Francisco get the win.
"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Walker after the game.
