The So Cal Republic clobbered the Las Vegas Gamblers, 17-2, at The Ballpark at Potomac Yard today. So Cal third baseman Jong-min Kim Jr. was named player of the game for his productive day. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The Republic improved to a lofty 94-40.

Kim Jr. delivered in the top of the third for So Cal. With the game tied and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the third baseman hit a 3-run home run to right-center.

Las Vegas manager Jesús Alfaro called the blowout loss "ugly."
