The Cabo San Lucas Toreros grabbed a 7-6 win over the Chicago Hitmen at Field de Los Layendas. Cabo San Lucas shortstop Haruki Yoshino went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 to earn player of the game honors. The 5th-place Toreros raised their record to 68-65.

Yoshino had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a full count fastball from Paul Woodrow, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Toreros a 4-3 lead. It was the 26th home run of the year for Yoshino.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager José Núńez.
