So Cal and Las Vegas got after it at The Ballpark at Potomac Yard .
The So Cal Republic defeated the Las Vegas Gamblers, 9-0, at The Ballpark at Potomac Yard . So Cal third baseman Jong-min Kim Jr. was named player of the game for his superb performance. He belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Adhipa Vemireddy earned the win for So Cal. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing no earned runs on 7 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 15-7.
Júlio Segura delivered a big hit for the Republic. The veteran catcher belted a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth. The longball put So Cal on top, 9-0. Overall, Segura was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said So Cal manager Munenori Sato.
The Republic own a robust 93-40 mark.
