Toreros Take Nail-Biter Over Prowlers
|
The Cabo San Lucas Toreros eked out a 4-3 win versus the Oklahoma City Prowlers at Field de Los Layendas. Nobody did more than pitcher Barnabé Bacm, who captured player of the game honors. The 5th-place Toreros raised their record to 66-65.
The Toreros were down to their final out when first baseman Tim Buck turned a 1-0 sinker from Everton Mailes into a 2-run single. The walk-off single made the Field de Los Layendas crowd go wild.
"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant José Núñez, the Cabo San Lucas skipper.
