The Las Vegas Gamblers blasted the Omaha Titans, 17-1, at The Ballpark at Potomac Yard . Las Vegas catcher Ralph Blair was named player of the game for his productive day. He belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 8. The second-place Gamblers are now 73-58, the Titans 47-83.

Flexing his muscles for Las Vegas was the aforementioned Blair. The catcher had a 3-run home run in the bottom of the first for the Gamblers. It put his team ahead, 4-1, and sent them on to victory.

"That game had disaster written all over it," said Omaha skipper Bernard Jacq. "I could feel it."
