Columbus rode a fine outing from starter Sotatsu Hayagawa to victory over the Dallas Texans at Metroplex Park. The final score was 7-2. Hayagawa went 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 10. His record improves to 16-8. The Codebreakers move to 68-62 with the win, while the Texans drop to 56-74.

Esteban Ruíz helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to give Columbus a 2-0 lead.
