5 Straight Wins for Marauders
|
In a low-scoring game between the Maple Marauders and the Georgia Grays, pitcher Dylan Butlin was masterful on the mound. The Maple right-hander was named the player of the game in Maple's 2-1 win. The first-place Marauders now have a 5-game winning streak.
Runs were few and far between in this one. So, Oscar Hunt's at-bat with two out in the top of the eighth was crucial. The Maple left fielder hit a run-scoring single, to give his team a 2-1 lead.
"I believe in our guys," said Maple skipper Arinori Nakamura. "I like the energy they're playing with."
