The Maple Marauders buried the Georgia Grays, 13-1, under a barrage of hits. Sal Ostendorff led the onslaught, going 3-for-5 for Maple. Maple reliever Maulik Shaw picked up the win, upping his record to 5-3. Gabriel Núñez was saddled with the loss. The Marauders, now 79-51, have won 4 in a row.
George Soucy wielded some clout for Maple. The first baseman had a 2-run home run in the top of the first for the Marauders. It put his team ahead, 2-0, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Soucy went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Maple manager Arinori Nakamura.
