The Havana Stogies got a magnificent performance from pitcher Peter Miner, who muffled the Kansas City offense en route to a tight 3-1 Stogies win at The Humidor. Abdul Razzaq Kharoti earned the save for Havana, his 2nd of the year. The Tornadoes, now 6-8, continue their sluggish start.

Tim Cummings delivered a big hit for the Stogies. The veteran catcher belted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. The longball put Havana on top, 3-0. Overall, Cummings was 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Cummings.
