Texans Defeat Earthquakes, 6-4
|
San Francisco got a terrific game from right fielder Noam Foucher. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Dallas, 6-4. Foucher was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Pedro López got the win, improving to 9-13. He worked 7.2 innings, giving up 4 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Harsha Majoo notched his 9th save in 9 chances.
Toshinobu Noro helped out the Dallas cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 3 with a walk.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Noro, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
The San Francisco losing streak has now reached 4 games.
