Black Knights Bang Out 7-4 Win Versus Oklahoma City
|
The Brooklyn Black Knights picked up a win at Blue Ivy Stadium, knocking off the Oklahoma City Prowlers, 7-4. Starting pitcher Felipe Clavijo, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Clavijo, now 14-6, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 4, and allowing 2 earned runs. Tokaji Goto earned the save for Brooklyn, his 32nd of the year.
Brooklyn grabbed a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third when Kojuro Ine hit a run-scoring single. For the day, Ine was 2-4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"The most important thing is that we won," Clavijo said.
Brooklyn has now won 3 in a row.
