Sasquatch Fall Short at Jacksonville
|
Jacksonville right-hander Noriyuki Ikeda helped his team edge Seattle by the score of 3-2. Ikeda kept the opposing lineup in check. Anthony Atkinson earned the save for Jacksonville, his 1st of the year. At 67-60, the Jacks find themselves in 4th place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.
Éloi Teissier provided some late-game drama. In the bottom of the eighth, with two out and a runner on 3rd, Teissier hit a run-scoring single. It helped Jacksonville take the lead and grab the win.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Carl Best.
