Oklahoma City starter Lewis Portsmouth put a stranglehold on the Columbus offense. The left-hander had complete command of his slider in leading the Prowlers to a 4-1 win. In 5.1 innings, Portsmouth surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Robbie Hogan earned his 2nd save in 3 chances.
