Late Rally by Armada Secures Win
|
The Quebec Armada topped the Portland Beavers by the score of 6-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to center fielder Jeffrey Henderson. Henderson was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI for the Armada on the day. Pin-zhen Au converted his 25th save in 28 tries. The 4th-place Armada improved to 61-64.
Tyan-yu Yang drew 2 walks in 5 plate appearances for Quebec. The 28-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Alonso Esquivel. It was his 37th walk of the season.
"Enjoyed this one," Henderson told the Quebec Times. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
