The Jersey Jesters wiggled past the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 7-6, at The Royal Court at Jersey Yards. Jersey third baseman Ron Verity earned player of the game honors. The 5th-place Jesters are now 63-61, the Toreros 64-62.

Alan Bishop said the idea of hitting a home run crossed his mind when he came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. Bishop belted a solo home run to stake Jersey to a 7-6 lead. His 26th home run of the season came off Cabo San Lucas pitcher Lloyd Hunt.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Verity said.
