The Portland Beavers beat the Quebec Armada, 12-9, at Waterfront Park. The Beavers got a fine performance from second baseman Mun-wah Lok, who captured player of the game honors. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Portland is 59-65 and Quebec, with the loss, 60-64.

With Portland trailing 8-7 and a runner on 1st, the Beavers fortunes got a boost when right fielder António Barbarro turned a 2-1 splitter from Jordan Taylor into his 23rd home run of the season. The hit scored 2 and put Portland up, 9-8.

"This game had a little bit of everything," said Barbarro.
