Late Rally Gets Win for Black Knights
|
The Minnesota Berserkers got a superb performance from catcher Will Tucker, but the Brooklyn Black Knights still won the game, 7-5. Tucker was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The win was credited to Mike MacInroy in relief. His record improves to 6-4. José Delgado took the loss. The save went to Tokaji Goto, his 29th this season.
Masayoshi Sai had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the ninth for the Black Knights. Coming up with runners on 1st and 2nd and Brooklyn trailing 5-4, he hit a 3-run home run.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Minnesota manager Jerry Miller.
The Berserkers have now dropped 5 straight.
