The So Cal Republic got a magnificent performance from pitcher Masafumi Tamura, who muffled the Minnesota offense en route to a tight 3-1 Republic win at House of the Republic. The winning pitcher was Tamura, now 17-7. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. The Republic, at 84-38, have a comfortable 16˝-game lead in their division.

The biggest at-bat came in the top of the eighth. The score was 2-1, Republic. With a runner on 2nd and two down, Soleh Purbacaraka retired Jim Burry with a 0-2 fastball. Burry, the five overall pick in the 2025 draft, struck out.
