Pittman Delivers Walk-Off Win for Republic
|
Minnesota designated hitter Masamune Tanaka had a good game, even if his team did not. The Berserkers dropped a 7-6 decision to So Cal at House of the Republic. Tanaka was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. So Cal reliever Christian Wallace was the winner. His record is now 5-1. The losing pitcher was Ti-an Dan. So Cal goes to 83-38. The win puts them 16˝ games up in their division.
Jon Pittman had the critical at-bat for So Cal. With two out in the bottom of the tenth inning, he hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It gave So Cal the 7-6 walk-off win.
"The game of baseball will test you," said Munenori Sato, the So Cal skipper. "This one tested us."
