Nelson Excels in Seattle Win
|
Sasquatch left fielder Bill Nelson put his stamp on his team's 5-1 win over the Manhattan Beach Patriots. Nelson was 4 for 4 with 2 home runs and 2 singles for Seattle in the contest. Seattle reliever Olivier Martin picked up the win, upping his record to 6-1. Tomás Bravo was saddled with the loss. Seattle is 59-62 and Manhattan Beach, with the loss, 64-57.
Jesús Lópes chipped in for Seattle, stroking a crucial run-scoring double in the bottom of the third inning. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 4 with a double.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Lópes told the Seattle Herald.
