Black Knights Blown Out by Patriots
The Manhattan Beach Patriots had no problem beating the Brooklyn Black Knights, 13-3, at Stars & Stripes Stadium. Ed Greer led the way. He was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for Manhattan Beach. Bruno McCormick was the winner. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 1 run on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts. The Patriots move to 63-56 with the win, while the Black Knights drop to 62-58.

Greer contributed when he hit a 3-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. Coming with two outs and runners on 1st and 2nd, the home run proved to be critical to helping Manhattan Beach get the win.
