|
San Francisco got a terrific performance from pitcher Jin-woo Pi, but it wasn't enough to beat the Seattle Sasquatch. Seattle won the Golden Gate Park contest, 7-1. Pi was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball. The winner was Greg Ward in relief. His record improves to 2-6. Kalyanavarman Nagaraj took the loss. Seattle has now won 3 in a row.
Seattle took the lead in the top of the seventh. With no one out and the bases empty, Kazuyoshi Takahashi stroked a solo home run to make it 2-1, Sasquatch.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Takahashi.
