Mile High Makes It 7 Straight with 5-3 Win
|
Mile High third baseman Daniel Vázquez was instrumental in his team's 5-3 win over the Georgia Grays. Vázquez, who is tied for 9th in the TML in bases on balls with 65, went 3-4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Mustangs. Kenkichi Kodo notched his 17th save in 21 chances. The last-place Mustangs have won 7 straight games.
Ted Burbidge, who is tied for 10th in the TML in home runs with 23, helped out the Mile High cause in the top of the ninth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the right fielder went 2-5 with 2 singles.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Vázquez.
