The Jersey Jesters got a magnificent performance from pitcher Daryl Wyles, who stifled the Las Vegas offense en route to a 2-1 Jesters win at The Royal Court at Jersey Yards. The Jesters saw their win-loss record go to 58-56. At the same time, the Gamblers fell to 64-52.
Anujestha Puri was a prime factor in the win for the Jesters. In the bottom of the fifth with two out, the 24-year old first baseman hit a run-scoring single. He went 1-4.
"Runs were at a premium," said Jersey manager Allen Clifton.
