Kansas City second baseman Eduardo López made his presence felt in the 5-2 Tornadoes triumph over the Quebec Armada. López was 4-4 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The save was credited to Michael Burton, his 30th. Kansas City is now 59-57. Quebec is 57-59.
There were several reasons the Tornadoes beat the Armada, but one factor was Curt Hall. In the bottom of the first, the Kansas City catcher came to bat and hit a 2-run double. It staked his team to a 2-0 lead.
