Tasha belts 2 home runs as Beavers Squeeze Past Georgia
|
The Portland Beavers eked out a 4-3 win versus the Georgia Grays at The Death Star. Nobody did more than third baseman Anuvaha Tasha, who captured player of the game honors. Toyotomi Nakano closed the game out for Portland, earning his 23rd save. Portland is now 56-60. Georgia is 63-52.
Tasha came through for Portland with a 2-run home run in the top of the first. He hit a 1-0 fastball to center field, staking his team to a 2-0 lead.
"We came out with the short end of the stick," said Georgia skipper Davey Morris.
