Big Day by Latulippe Ignites Patriots Win
|
The Manhattan Beach Patriots downed the Omaha Titans, 7-5, at Stars & Stripes Stadium. Donald Latulippe led the way, going 4-for-4 for Manhattan Beach. Howard Poole, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. Today's win puts Manhattan Beach at 61-54, while Omaha falls to 40-73.
Manhattan Beach center fielder Mal Rivers said he wanted to hit the ball hard when he batted in the bottom of the eighth. He not only hit it hard, he hit a fastball from Daniel Díaz deep for a 3-run home run. It resulted in a 7-5 lead for Manhattan Beach.
"It feels good to get this one," Latulippe told the Manhattan Beach Times.
