Despite a great performance by New York right fielder Gilberto Jiménez, the Havana Stogies defeated the Mafia by the score of 7-4 at The Humidor. Jiménez was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Havana improves to 65-51 with the win. They lead their division by 2½ games.

Havana took a 7-4 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With no one out, center fielder Floyd Green hit a 3-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Green.
