Tight Tilt Goes to Marauders, 4-3
|
In a tight contest at Legends Park, the Maple Marauders edged the Cabo San Lucas Toreros by the score of 4-3. Maple right fielder Terry Pulh Jr., who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. Reliever Maulik Shaw picked up the win. His record improves to 2-3. Luis Sánchez took the loss. The Marauders now own a record of 66-49.
In the bottom of the seventh, Dustin McMahon had a big run-scoring single off Luis Sánchez. With the single, the Maple third baseman put his team in front, 4-3. He went 2 for 4 with a double in the contest.
"I had a good game," said McMahon. "Winning makes it even better."
