The So Cal Republic got a superb performance from pitcher Rick Hill, but the Duke City Danger still won the game, 3-2. Hill was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball. Duke City reliever Leonardo Reynoso picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Soleh Purbacaraka absorbed the loss. After today's action, Duke City sits at 64-51, while So Cal falls to 79-36.
Duke City won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Soleh Purbacaraka on the mound for So Cal, shortstop Tim McCreary hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Danger fans to their feet.
"This place went bonkers at the end," McCreary said.
