Sasquatch Bang Out 6-5 Win Versus Bloomington
|
The Seattle Sasquatch did just enough to sneak past the Bloomington Blazers, 6-5, at Sick's Stadium. Seattle right fielder Jesús Lópes earned player of the game honors. Coco Yamashita was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 3 save opportunities. Seattle is now 54-59, Bloomington 39-74.
Lópes contributed when he hit a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. Coming with one out and the bases empty, the home run proved to be critical to helping Seattle get the win.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Seattle manager Carl Best.
