Mathews Lifts Gamblers to 7-5 Triumph
|
Las Vegas and South Carolina duked it out at The Ballpark at Potomac Yard and the Gamblers came out victorious.
The Las Vegas Gamblers downed the South Carolina Bombers, 7-5, at The Ballpark at Potomac Yard . Aaron Mathews led the way, going 3-for-4 for Las Vegas. Las Vegas reliever Umarah Abdul-Quddus was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Aaron Taylor took the loss.
Sean Brooks played a key role in the win for the Gamblers. The left fielder punched a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, Brooks went 1-4 with a home run.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Brooks told the Las Vegas Chronicle.
Las Vegas now sits at 63-51, while South Carolina falls to 64-50.
