Earthquakes Take Close Win Over Danger
|
Duke City second baseman Anthony Cadenhead had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-4, to San Francisco at The Danger Zone. Cadenhead went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The winner was Víctor Martínez in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Carlos Núñes took the loss. The Earthquakes have an impressive 70-44 record.
Ji-hyun Kim had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the ninth for the Earthquakes. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and San Francisco trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single.
"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Kim told the San Francisco Today.
