Late Rally by Titans Secures Win
The Omaha Titans topped the Kansas City Tornadoes, 7-5, with first baseman Mike Phelps playing a big role. Phelps went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Titans in the win. Norogumi Matsumoto picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-0. Michael Burton was tagged with the loss. The Titans' win now puts them at 39-72.

Phelps had a game-changing at-bat for Omaha. It came in the top of the ninth inning with one out. Phelps hit a 1-1 slider from Michael Burton for a 2-run double. It put Omaha in front, 6-5.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Phelps, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
