Grays Knock Off New York at Don Corleone Park
The Georgia Grays defeated the New York Mafia, 6-3, in Thurman Munson League action at Don Corleone Park. Abalendu Manglorkar received player of the game honors. The 10-year veteran was 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win was Daryl Feaviour's in relief. His record improves to 5-2. Curt Rhodes took the loss for New York. Picking up the save was John Jacobs, his 23rd.

Had Manglorkar not come through in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Manglorkar hit a 2-run single. The Grays never looked back after taking the 5-3 lead.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Georgia manager Davey Morris.

The Grays saw their win-loss record go to 62-50. At the same time, the Mafia fell to 54-58.
