The Mustangs had to overcome a good performance from Brooklyn pitcher Jan Shirazi to claim a 5-3 win at McNichols Stadium. Shirazi went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Mile High is in last place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division with a record of 45-68.

A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when left fielder Eddy Jacobse, who is tied for 4th in the TML in triples with 6, drew a walk. The Mustangs went on to win.

"This was a good win," said Jacobse.
