Marauders Stumble, Lose to Texans
|
Dallas Texans starter Paul Johnston had all his pitches working at Legends Park. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-2 Dallas win over the Maple Marauders. Johnston went 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 11-10. Dallas occupies 6th place in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division at 47-65.
Juan Martínez took Steve McBryde deep with no one out in the top of the second. On a first pitch changeup, Martínez drilled a solo home run to left. It was his 16th home run of the season and put Dallas on top, 1-0.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Johnston.
