The Omaha Titans topped the New York Mafia, 8-3, in Roberto Clemente League action at Don Corleone Park. The player of the game was Omaha pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native Daniel Díaz. Díaz got the win, improving to 7-12. He allowed 4 hits and walked 3 over 6.2 innings. Díaz allowed 2 earned runs. Even with the win, the Titans have a dismal 42-80 record.

In the bottom of the fifth, Frank Coleman had a big run-scoring double off Bob Ruíz. With the double, the Omaha right fielder put his team in front, 3-2. He was 1-5 with a double in the contest.
