Earthquakes Keep Streak Alive With 8-6 Win
|
With second baseman Jorge Zamora leading the charge, the San Francisco Earthquakes defeated the South Carolina Bombers, 8-6, at Bomber Ballpark. Zamora, who is tied for 2nd in the TML in runs scored with 88, went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Lonnie Powell, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The wins continue to add up for San Francisco, with the latest making it 12 in a row.
Zamora provided the big break for the Earthquakes in the top of the fifth inning. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single, helping San Francisco to get the win.
"We'll enjoy this hot streak as long as it lasts," said Zamora.
