The Cabo San Lucas Toreros picked up a win at Field de Los Layendas, knocking off the Jersey Jesters, 4-1. Starting pitcher Barnabé Bacm, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Bacm got the win, improving to 5-3. He allowed 7 hits and walked 4 over 8 innings. Bacm allowed 1 earned run. Mulia Kathirithamby closed the game out for Cabo San Lucas, earning his 18th save.
Cabo San Lucas grabbed control in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Chun-yeong Kwon delivered a run-scoring double, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Toreros.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Bacm told the Cabo San Lucas Daily News.
At 54-55, the Toreros are currently 6th in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.
