Miller Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Jacksonville in Walk-Off Win
|
Jacksonville Jacks starter Noriyuki Ikeda was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Jersey Jesters, 4-3. The win was credited to John Holmes in relief. His record improves to 9-5. Ron Anderson took the loss. With the win, the Jacks have a record of 54-54.
The game came to an abrupt end with two out in the bottom of the ninth. On a pitch from Ron Anderson, Bob Miller reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run. It gave Jacksonville the 4-3 walk-off win.
"This place was jumping at the end," Ikeda said.
