Gamblers Rally For Late Win Over Danger
Las Vegas overcame a superlative game from James Thompson to beat Duke City, 3-2. The Duke City pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. Las Vegas, at 59-49, occupies third place in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division.

Both teams had trouble manufacturing runs. So, Dante Deleón's at-bat in the top of the eighth was critical. With two out, the Las Vegas first baseman hit a run-scoring double, to give his team a 3-2 lead.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Duke City manager Jorge Morales.
