Beavers Lose to Armada, 6-4
|
The Quebec Armada topped the Portland Beavers by the score of 6-4, with the largest share of the credit going to catcher Tyan-yu Yang. Yang went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Armada. Pin-zhen Au earned the save for Quebec, his 5th of the year. At 8-3, the Armada have played well so far.
Toyokazu Murayama, the 14 overall pick in the 2023 draft, aided the Quebec cause with a run-scoring triple in the top of the eighth. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 3 with a triple and a walk.
In comments to the Quebec Times, Yang admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
